Rubbing Shoulders with Dance Royalty

During Cailyn's competitive dance "career", she has been lucky to have the chance to dance with some very talented people. Although not always known to the average "non-dance" person, they are quite sought after in their world. She has danced with Jessica Sayde, Karen Andrews, Lenny Len, Concrete Roots, Menina and Sante Fortunato, Danny Arbour.....all were a wonderful learning opportunity for Cailyn! Lenny Len was most recently seen, dancing in the closing ceremonies at the Winter Olympics. Menina has worked all over North America, on tv and in movies. Her sister Sante is getting herself out there, and was very close to being a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Canada last season. Danny Arbour was a top 10 finalist on that same show, the first season.
But none of them even come close to Stacy Tookey and Miles Faber!
Stacey Tookey is a dancer and choreographer, with a wide range of experiences. She is often a guest choreographer on both the American and Canadian versions of SYTYCD. Miles was in the final two of the first season of the Canadian show. Our family spent the entire season cheering him on! He showed the entire season why he deserved to be voted the best dancer in Canada! Alas, when you have many young girls voting, it was obvious that Nico would probably win. Not because of his talent, but because of his muscles/tattoos/piercings. Miles is cute but not what young viewers would consider "hot".


We were disappointed when he lost but knew that this would not be the last we heard of this talented young man.
How excited we were when we received the news that Miles would be the guest workshop presenter at Millenium this year!! And having Stacey Tookey as the second person was like the cherry on top of a really yummy sundae :)
Both workshops were fantastic!! Miles had the dancers and parents mesmerized with his skills, witty sense of humor, and charm. Stacey is so genuinely sweet, and amazingly talented.
Although Cailyn probably has a lot of years of dancing ahead of her, and a lot of workshops and conventions to enjoy, this will definitely be one that stays in her memory for a very long time :)
