Our first Halloween in Cold Lake! Living in NS, we have been lucky to have great weather for trick or treating most years. Upon moving here though, we heard many times that kids have to wear snowsuits under costumes! So what to pick?!!
Logan, mercifully, picked his fairly quickly. He saw the SWAT set the first trip into Edmonton and decided on the spot that was what he wanted to be. Cailyn had big plans to be a mermaid, assuming that her class would have a party at school. Their school doesn't allow costumes though so we had to move onto plan B. On a trip into Lloydminster, I found something that I hoped she would like. and would work for a night out...luckily she did! The sparkly whiskers sealed the deal :D
We had a great evening. Despite what we had heard, the weather was beautiful and the kids only needed a hoody and fleece. We started around 5:30, after getting pictures with the neighbours. The sun was setting quickly and trick-or-treaters had already been going around since 4:00. There are a lot of people here who do not hand out treats though so we had to walk a nice ways to get the candy. But the kids stayed out for about 90 minutes and were more than happy with their loot.

Their costumes sure are cute! The weather was much nicer there, we had rain and wind, but the kids still walked our street. Good to see Cailyn and Logan had a happy Halloween.
