A very happy boy at the end of the night!
From the time he was a kid, probably around Logan's age, Darryl has been a huge Edmonton Oilers fan! So you can imagine how excited he was when he was given tickets by our priest for a game! And what a game to go to :D Edmonton Oilers vs the Boston Bruins....awesome!!
Logan has developed a love of hockey over the past year or so, so we decided that he should be the one to go with Darryl. We found a jersey for Logan that he was so thrilled with. Got the tattoos and the gloves, and even some socks. Both he and Darryl had been waiting for a couple months for this night and they were not disappointed. 10000 people plus, packed into the Rexall for a classic rivalry game. Boston almost never plays in Edmonton so it was a big deal for a lot of people. The arena was full of both Oiler and Bruin fans.
Edmonton did not win...surprise, surprise :P
But it was still an awesome game. And catching a tshirt from the cannon was just icing on the cake for Logan. I must admit, I would have loved to been there too, but I am so happy that Darryl and Logan had this time together.....
