Prairie Gardens Corn Maze

 A few weeks ago we went to a corn maze just outside of Edmonton.  We always do the ones in the Valley and have been missing the farms and orchards from home.  Unfortunately, we had to drive three hours to get to this one, but we had fun!  I had heard about it on a news report and it sounded good.  Apparently it is all mapped out with gps's,  then the corn is cut out by a giant cutting machine going behind the person holding the gps :).  Cool!
A lot of people had the same idea, and I was kind of apprehensive when we pulled into an already crowded parking lot.  Luckily, the place was huge and it didn't feel crowded at all.  We paid our admission (kinda pricey but whatever) and got our party beads to show we had paid.  There were lots of other things to do but we headed for the big maze right away....just in case we ended up getting lost inside of it :P

 It was an awesome maze!  Somewhat challenging at times...we did get a bit lost here and there :P  But we made it out in pretty good time...I think...

the design was of a local gold prospector and the name PrairieGardens written above his head.  And we even had to go through the pickaxe he was holding in his hand.

After we made it out, we decided to see what else was around.  We went to the petting area where the kids got to hold baby bunnies (awwww) and visit with the fowl, goats and llamas (cheeeese!)

The kids had the chance to make their own scarecrow which they absolutely LOVED doing.  Darryl and I got involved too, it was fun :)  There were many more things to do, but all of it cost money.  After paying a hefty admission fee, we were done spending money there!  We would have bought some corn on the cob but all their produce had sold out...must have been a good day ;)

We headed home, enjoying the colors of the sky and fields along the way....
