The first official day of our holidays was spent at the Telus World of Science in Edmonton. We had tried to go there once, back in the fall, but there was a water main break the day we went. Logan has been wanting to go back since. We figured now was a good time!
Well, as much as I love the Discovery Centre, this place is way cooler. It is AWESOME!!
We started off our visit by watching a "scientist" perform chemistry experiments. Disappearing water, fire, color changing liquids....the kids were amazed and impressed (so were we!). Then we moved on to the Human Body room. There was so much to see but I think our favorite part of it was the Gallery of the Gross :P (or maybe it was getting to race balls of waste through the artificial intestines...hmmm). The kids also loved RoboThespian...a walking, talking, programmable robot. They even made him sqwawk like a chicken! After that, it was time for an Imax movie. We went to see "Born to be Wild". It is a film about two different women, one in Borneo who rehabilitates injured and orphaned orangutans, and a lady in Africa who rehabilitates injured and orphaned elephants. It was a fantastic movie! We laughed a lot and cried a bit. The kids have never been to an Imax movie and I had forgotten just how cool they were, so we all enjoyed ourselves.
After the film, there were many more rooms to explore. Forensic sciences, environment, space and Sesame Street...just to name a few. We were there for about 4-5 hours but could easily have spent the whole day. Did I mention how awesome it was?!!

lol, sounds like it was awesome! The first time we went to the TO Science Centre we were there for 6 hours and Sophie cried when we had to go, she could have stayed all day. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
